World Cup Fever in Elsternwick

June 16, 2010

Are you a night owl? Or are you an early bird? If you are anything like some of the team at Stockdale and Leggo Elsternwick, you will be burning the midnight all – all for the love of the ‘beautiful game’.

We have made a shortlist of places to be getting you late night and/or early snacks from in Elsternwick and surrounds. This includes our favourite:

Chez Olivier L’Epicerie is a local restaurant that even has its own blog! So after you see ‘Les Bleus’ being beaten on the world game pitch, head down here for some bona fide french cuisine to die for. I even saw Nick Cave eating there once.

For cheeky late-night diners we’d go to Pitchfork on Glenhuntly Road. No vegetarians allowed however, this is a meaty treasure trove for you to enjoy .

You could even try Budapest Restaurant and Palinka Bar – it’s as fun as it sounds. How can you resist a Hungarian Happy Hour with $14.00 schnitzels? Stockies Elsternwick certainly can’t.
