Masterchef Connection

July 16, 2010

Jewish MasterChef finalist Jonathan Daddia was cooked off the show this week after failing to please the judges in his elimination challenge.

Daddia’s widely canned attempt at a tricky squab dish was deemed a big boo-boo, with the meat undercooked and the broth too piquant, resulting in his booting off the show just a week from the final.

The Moriah College graduate, who enjoys cooking in the French style, hopes to ultimately open a traditional French bistro in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs.

Daddia’s most memorable MasterChef episode was a trip to London where he met and cooked for his food hero Heston Blumenthal and also experienced a private cooking class with Jamie Oliver.
