Carlton Cemetery Releases plots – People are just dying to get in.

According to the AJN, the Melbourne General Cemetery has just released 12 plots to the Jewish Community. The Victorian Jewry and Carlton have a rich history, with many migrants initially moving to Carlton before gradually making their way south of the Yarra.

Melbourne Chevra Kadisha facilitated the purchases, and despite $26,o00.00 price tags, the 12 plots were sold very quickly. People mentioned their family historical links to Carlton, and previously family members having been buried there as motivation for their investment.
